The E-books

E-books are a great way to teach children how to read. With both audio narration and visual text included in the format, children can hear the text being read by the narrator while they read the e-book. Enhanced picture e-books are an even more enjoyable way to teach children how to read because not only do they offer the text for reading, but also audio narration. Unlike audiobooks, picture e-books also have images that reflect the text, so that when a child reads the text, they can also hear it and see it reflected in the visuals. In this manner, they can learn to read the text while also being immersed in the story. This is where the Robots of Mars e-books really excel because they offer highly detailed illustrations that children will enjoy.

There are over 950 illustrations in the four-part series, and each illustration is highly detailed, with stunning visuals that children will find enjoyable. Specifically designed for Apple’s iPad, these picture books feature high-resolution 2560-pixel images that will spark a child’s imagination. They are so detailed they almost look 3D when viewing them on the Apple iPad.

For the enhanced version only available on Apple Books, the four-part series of e-books is narrated by well-known audiobook narrator Edoardo Ballerini, who does a brilliant job of narrating the story and giving individual personalities to each of the numerous characters.

When viewing the enhanced e-books in automatic page-turning mode, it is almost like watching a movie, with the pages turning as the narrator reads them.

The four-part series is geared toward kids ages 6-13 and features a host of interesting characters – such as Sparky, the blue robot hero, Blasto, Sparky’s one-wheeled robotic sidekick, and Melody, the wisecracking bird, who are sent on numerous quests to halt the Supervisor of Mars from gaining power from the ancient Martian Jewel called the Jewel of Power. At the beginning of the series, Sparky is created in Mad Doctor’s lab and then sent out on a mission to test his new skills. Later on, Sparky must brave a series of risky adventures as he tries to stop the evil Supervisor of Mars from acquiring the famed Jewel of Power. Up and Coming Robots of Mars E-Books

There are three other Robots of Mars e-books in production or preproduction: The Sorcerer of Mars, a prequel to the four-part series and in production; The Titan Adventure, also in production; and The Return of the Sorcerer, which is in preproduction too.

Robots of Mars prequel, Robots of Mars – The Sorcerer of Mars, now in production.

This powerful new e-book, which takes place 1 billion years before the present four-part series, tells the tale of how the evil Sorcerer of Mars discovered the origins of the Jewel of Power and acquired its twin stone, the Fire of Mars, which will ultimately destroy much of the Martian surface. It is a cautionary tale of how power can corrupt and destroy, even an entire planet.

Return of the Sorcerer, in preproduction

In the Robots of Mars prequel, the Sorcerer of Mars laid waste to Mars with the help of the alien jewel the Fire of Mars, the twin stone to the Jewel of Power. As the destructive force traveled over the planet, the Sorcerer put himself into suspended animation deep in an underground chamber, to wait out the eons before he could return to a new Mars inhabited only by robots. Now, a billion years later, he has returned to conclude his quest to destroy his enemies and rule over Mars and the solar system forever. Can Sparky and his pals stop him? Find out!

The Titan Adventure, now in production

The newest Robots of Mars e-books in production is called The Titan Adventure. In it, Sparky is sent on a mission to Saturn’s moon, Titan, to rescue a girl named Electra, who has been trapped inside an abandoned lab on the moon’s surface.

At the beginning of the adventure, Sparky and his pals flee Mars Station aboard a drop ship to a mining outpost on Titan, where they make their way to the abandoned lab and free Electra, who was placed in cryostasis years earlier. After freeing her, they must escape the moon without encountering the dreaded Earth Patrol as they head for Mars, where Electra will find sanctuary.

Sparky’s mission is to reach the planet Mars without encountering Ambassador Black, whose orders are to stop them at all costs and take Electra, his niece, back to Earth. During this 740-million-mile adventure to Mars, our heroes meet a host of odd characters – some good, some bad, and some most terrifying – including the teen Bobby Black, Ambassador Black’s nephew and Electra’s brother. Even though they are at odds with each other, Sparky and Bobby must learn to work together to help Electra reach Mars safely.
